Hello and welcome!
We're Kimberley and Phil. We're so pleased you're here.

Some of the best stories begin in the most unexpected ways.
Ours started when we met in our late forties - two people from different backgrounds, each navigating the twists and turns of life. At the time, we had no idea that a shared love of laughter and curiosity about what’s possible would lead us to where we are today.
Life has a way of nudging you towards something more, even when you’re not quite sure what that ‘more’ is.
For us, that moment came when we stumbled upon Mike Dooley’s book 'Infinite Possibilities: The Art of Changing Your Life'. Something clicked.
The idea that we are all active participants in shaping our future, not just passengers in our own lives, changed everything. We started small, just applying what we learned - changing how we thought, setting intentions, taking small steps and trusting the journey.
Over time, life started unfolding in ways we'd never imagined
🚐 We bought a campervan (called TUT — 'Travelling Universally Together')
✂️ We simplified our lives
🌍 We set off on an adventure
☀️ We found a piece of land in Portugal
🏡 And slowly, we created a home we love.
It didn’t happen overnight. And it wasn’t always easy. But it showed us something important:
Change doesn't come from having everything figured out. It comes from finding a direction and taking one step… and then another.
And somewhere along the way, came The Compass

Over the years, we realised that we kept returning to the same simple ideas.
- Where do I want to go?
- Can I imagine what that could look and feel like?
- What's one small step I can take?
- Can I trust myself - and the journey - enough to keep going?
Eventually those ideas became:
The Compass
I set my destination.
I feel it, see it bright.
With baby steps I journey.
I trust my inner light.
It isn't something we only teach. It's something we use in our own lives. It's a simple way of checking our bearings whenever life changes, we get stuck, or we simply need to remember what matters.
Why the name - Casabo?
Casabo is the name of our home here in Portugal - itself the fulfilment of a long-held dream. The name has a story of its own. Casa means home or house, and Bo was the nickname of Phil's mum who passed away shortly before we found the land on which Casabo now stands.
And when we discovered that CASABO had also been used to mean: Come Again Soon And Bring Others
we couldn't quite believe how perfectly it fitted!
Because that's what Casabo has become for us. Not just our home, but an idea about bringing people together.
People need tools - and they need space

Over the years, something else has become increasingly clear to us. People don't always need somebody to give them another answer.
Sometimes they need somewhere they can pause. Somewhere they can talk honestly.
Somewhere they can be listened to without immediately being advised or fixed. Somewhere they can hear themselves think.
That's why our work now brings together two things:
The Compass - a simple tool for navigating life and facilitated spaces where people can explore what matters alongside others.
That's the heart of our Compass Circles and the facilitator development that has grown from them.
A little about Kimberley's background

The Compass may be simple, but the work behind it has grown from many years of working alongside people, families, communities and organisations.
Kimberley originally trained as a Registered General Nurse in the NHS and, in her twenties, founded a charity supporting people with learning disabilities into meaningful paid employment - an organisation that continues its work more than 35 years later.
Since then, her work has included leadership within the charity sector, supporting families navigating complex circumstances, and facilitating personal-development groups, programmes and communities.
She is a certified Infinite Possibilities Trainer and has developed and led facilitator and practitioner pathways for both Well-Traveled Soul and I Believe in ME!, with a particular interest in the skills involved in listening, holding space and helping people discover their own answers.
The Compass brings together much of what she has learned along the way. Not about fixing people. Not about telling them what they should do. But about creating the conditions in which people can recognise their own strengths, possibilities and direction.
Because every life is a story
The story of where you've been matters. And so does the story of where you're going.
We don't know where your journey will take you. And we certainly don't believe it's our job to tell you.
What we can offer is The Compass, a little space to stop and perhaps some good people to walk alongside for part of the way.
Because your story matters. And wherever you are now, you can begin there.
"Your past is a story you tell. Your future is a story you create."
